At Mount Hope Cemetery we are now offering a cremationscattering garden as a permanent memorial alternative. Our
scattering garden offers a peaceful, lasting tribute to a loved one,
but also a place to visit, reflect and gather for many years to come.
Scattering in a cemetery gives assurance the remains are cared for,
and a key to family history for future generations.This area is designated inside the cemetery in our Northern
Division, located off Mount Hope Avenue. If you choose, we have a
memorial plaque to which a name and dates can be added for
memorialization.Please remember once scattered, cremated remains cannot be
collected back. We want to make sure this is the right choice for
you as this is a permanent decision.
Pricing
$100.00 – A scattering of the cremated remains inside the designated planting areas with a record added to the cemetery record books.
$500.00 – A scattering of the cremated remains inside the designated planting areas with a record added to the cemetery record books. Name and dates(Years only) added to bronze memorial plaque. Bronze scroll size 6 1/2″ 1 1/4″.
Scattering in the memorial garden will be allowed from May 1st until November 1st each year.
No flowers, artificial decorations, or mementos will be allowed in the scattering garden areas. Items left will be removed immediately by cemetery staff.
